Rev. Craig R. Gibson came to Shawnee Presbyterian Church in January of 2014. He grew up in the Wichita, KS area and studied at Friends University in Wichita, KS and Phillips Graduate Seminary in Tulsa, OK. Craig met his wife, Gretchen while in seminary, and they were united in marriage in 1994. Together Craig and Gretchen have three adult children, four dogs, and four cats. Before coming to Shawnee, Craig has served in pastorates in Little Rock, AR, Columbia, MO, Wagoner, OK, Sapulpa, OK, and Perry, OK.  Rev. Gibson also served as Hospice Chaplain for St. John Health System in Tulsa for five years. Rev. Gibson is currently serving as synod advocate for an overture which if approved by the 2024 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA will provide protection from discrimination for LGBTQIA+ church members and future pastors.  The overture can be seen here  https://www.pc-biz.org/search/3001122
